Stolen Ground Research specializes in historical, archival, and primary source material research related to Canadian history, but with a particular emphasis on settler-colonialism, dispossession, treaties, labour history, and social justice in the Canadian prairies. All our researchers have at least a Master’s degree in History, or related programs, and extensive experience with archival research at the PAM (Provincial Archives of Manitoba) and LAC (Library and Archives Canada). Prior research and contracts have related to Treaties 1, 2 and 5 in Manitoba, land claims, First Nations agriculture, fishing rights, and historical settler policies and ideology.

Inquiries about research projects and contracts can be directed to info@stolenground.ca
